My name is Dorman Alvin Glenn I am about to relate some of our family history I believe there will be generations of Glenns interested in their past history and ancestry."

"William Harrison Glenn was my grandfather. He married Effie Lydia Erwin. I remember “GrandPa Glenn” as we dearly called him, as a strong, firm, fair, honest, God fearing man. He was highly respected by all that knew him. He and my Grandmother raised a large family. We always loved the old “homeplace” and our early years there. When he and grand-ma departed this life, it was like a way of life had gone forever. I shall not forget those days. We were poor, penniless but happy. What a family!!GrandPa Wm. H. Glenn left all of his living children a piece of property. He was a great man. He displayed firmness in his decisions and a loving heart. Grandma Effie Glenn was also a hard working woman. She raised her children and even helped with grandchildren. She was a good, loving mother. I believe they are both with God."
