In 1900, William Erwin, 57 year old b. April 1843, worked as a cashier in a bank. He lived at 1119 16th Street with his wife Flora, 50, and two daughters: Mary Erwin, a 20 year old school teacher, b. Oct 1879; and Mable M Erwin, 6, b. Sept 1894. All were born in Indiana. William's father was born in North Carolina and his mother in Kentucky, while Flora's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Indiana. The couple has been married for 22 years and Flora has had two children, both of whom are living.[3]
