Biography

Moses Estey was baptized in Topsfield, Essex, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay on 06 September 1712, the son of Isaac and Abigail (Kimball) Estey.[1]

Moses Eastey and Eunice Pengilley entered their intentions of marriage on 21 August 1736 in Suffield, Connecticut.[2][3]They were married on 08 September 1736.[4]

Eunice Esty, daughter of John Pengilly, was named in John's will dated 30 January 1750, inventory taken 29 January 1752/3 in Suffield, Connecticut. Also named were John's wife Mary, son John Jr., daughter Sarah the wife of James Poisson.[5]

They removed to Enfield, Connecticut in 1752, then to Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1756, and later to New Jersey. They had one son, Capt. Moses of Morristown, New Jersey, who was a soldier in the Revolution.[4]

Moses and Eunice died in Black River which is now Long Valley, Morris County, New Jersey.[6] According to his Find a Grave Memorial, Moses Sr. died in 1795. [7]
