Willis was born in 1816 to parents Thomas Eubank and Jane Parrock of Albemarle and Nelson Counties, Virginia, and Monroe County, Kentucky.
He married Marinda Gist. Their children were: Musadore, Lorenzo, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jane, Malissa, Greenberry and Howard.
