John D Eubank was born around 1793 in Albermarle County, Virginia. He was the son of John Eubank a native of Albermarle County, Virginia and Frances Mary Eubank.
He married Sarah Parrock on November 14, 1814 in Nelson County, Virginia. (His Brother Thomas Kent Eubank was married to his wife's sister Jane Parrock) They had nine children.

John Eubank was a private in the Virginia militia and fought in the War of 1812 under General Jackson and the Battle of New Orleans. He was discharged on June 9, 1814.
He died on December 9, 1844 in Barren County, Kentucky. Cemetery Records of the Poplar Log Cemetery show notation that was Pvt 5 VA Militia War of 1812.
