Biography

Margaret was baptised 25 June 1795, Llanycil. Most of her Census returns state place of birth as Llanuwchllyn, but 1871 notes Llanycil.

In her notes on the family tree, my great aunt referred to Margaret as Jane. I don`t know if this was the name she preferred or not.

Margaret and John are buried at Capel y Pandy, in plot 065. Their MI reads: " Er Cof / am/ JOHN EVANS / Pandy, yr hwn a fu farw/ Medi 11eg 1875, yn 74 mlwydd oed / Hefyd am / MARGARET EVANS / ei wraig, yr hon a fu farw / Ebrill 22ain 1879 yn 85 mlwydd oed."

Margaret's GRO Death Certificate reads: "489 / Twenty Second April 1879 Pandy Llanuwchllyn / Margaret Evans / Female / 84 years / Widow of John Evans Labourer / Old age Bronchitis Certified by Roger Hughes M.R.C.S. / Evan Evans Son In attendance Pandy Llanuwchllyn / Twenty fourth April 1879 / Edward Jones Registrar."
