Biography

"Evan Evans (son of Thomas Ap Evans) was born 1684 in Llanfor Parish, Merionethshire, Wales, and died 26 May 1747 in Pennsylvania.

He married Elizabeth Musgrave on 03 Sep 1713 in Haverford Meeting, Chester County, PA, daughter of Thomas Musgrave and Hannah.

Includes Notes Notes for Evan Evans: would have been about 14 when he emigrated from Wales with his mother, siblings, and other family members in 1698 on the "Robert and Elizabeth"

Evan and Elizabeth lived by the mill on the Wissahickon, which was still standing in 2002, as a museum, at the corner of Swedesford Road and Township Line Road in Upper Gwynedd Township.

"Musgrave Evans' father was EVAN EVANS, born in 1684, Llanfor Parish, Merionethshire, Wales, died PA 5/26/1747. He married ELIZABETH MUSGRAVE at Haverford Meeting, Chester County, PA, on 9/3/1713. Elizabeth was probably born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England, and was the son of THOMAS MUSGRAVE who was born in Yorkshire, England, and his wife Hannah. Thomas Musgrave was buried at Merion Meeting, Pennsylvania in 1700, and his will was proved on 25 July 1701."

removed mother, dates have been changed so much, not sure who the mother is.

Evans-2525 and Evans-2328 appear to represent the same person because: same data, the correct mother is Jane, the father did not marry Hannah until well after this child was born
