Rebecca Evans was born bet 1733-174 in what was then Somerset Co., Maryland. daughter of John Evans and Catherine Wharton.
Rebecca was still alive in 1791 as she was named "dau Rebecca Mumford" in her father's will.

Rebecca Evans married first to Armwell Showell (b. c1731, d.1772) with whom she had 5 children.
[2]
Her 2nd marriage was in 1772 to Sacker Mumford (b.1751- d aft.1781). Rebecca had 2 children with Sacker: William Meredith Mumford (1771-unk date) and John Evans Mumford (1778-1854).
Unable to verify this sale: "Sacker Mumford and wife Rebecca in 1778 selling pt of CROPTON to Hilllary Pitts...,stating both had a right to sell: Sacker, as guardian to Lemuel Showell; wife Rebecca's right of dower of the said Lemuel's lands (bequeathed to him from Armwell)" but remember accompanying statement. Unknown-254963 and Evans-1121 appear to represent the same person because: the Unknown record was wrong--confused with for 2 women. I worked with managers and now the Evans record is right. These 2 need to be merged and everything from the original removed. Please email me if you have another plan to straighten out this mistake.
Curtis, I think I found the reference but it should be 1791. It is the Will of her father John Evans written 1791, Sussex DE, probate 1795 who names her as Rebecca Mumford. Without looking at the distribution of the estate to see if she was still living in 1795, it is safer to use 1791.
Evans-2579 and Evans-9488 appear to represent the same person because: Rebecca m Mumford after Showell and sold her Showell dower and inheritance of Lemuel Showell (parts of same property) with Mumford, as they were guardians of Lemuel .
The Holloway Bio has multiple dates for many items. Believe Rebecca Holloway Timmons a different one than Rebecca Evans wife of Armwell Showell and Sacker Mumford. See my sources at end
