There are some problems with Martha Ann "Patsy" Evans who married John Chenowith Peteet. 1. This Martha Ann Evans DID NOT marry James Culver or Lawson Slaughter. The Martha Ann "Patsy" who was the daughter of William Evans, Jr. II and Elizabeth Combs Hammock only Married once to John Chenowith Peteet and remained a "Peteet" until her death on Sept. 1871. . .

Martha Ann "Patsy" who married John Chenwith Peteet can be seen as Mrs. Martha Peteet in both the 1860 and 1870 U.S. Federal State Census for Morgan County, Georgia. She did not marry after her husband John Chenowith Peteet in 1845. The Extra husband's need to be removed along with the children to those marriages.

Evans-12563 and Evans-3827 appear to represent the same person because: same find a grave on both profiles. exact same parents on both profiles.

There seems to be some issues with Martha Evans, daughter of William Evans, II and Elizabeth Combs Hammock. Find A Grave Website has a tombstone that says she was married to John Chenowith Peteet and that he was the Son-in-law of William Evans also, he did not die until 1845, making the other two marriages impossible. Also, There is Tombstone for Martha Evans, daughter of William Evans, II and Elizabeth Combs Hammock that says Martha was still Peteet, when she died in 1871, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/62382146/martha-ann-peteet

More research is necessary to clear this possible mistake up.
