I believe the Find-A-Grave information (from which the birth and death dates were taken) is for a different John B. Evans. (John Brown Evans in this case.) I have a John Brown Evans in my tree who lived in Erie County (where the grave is) and was 25 on the 1860 census (which better matches the gravestone's 1835 birth year). John Bradley Evans was 17 in 1850, which points to an 1833 birth year.

The 1900 census shows a John B. Evans living in Mill Creek, Erie County (same place as my John Brown Evans lived in 1860), married to Sophia L. Evans (which matches their shared Erie County grave stone). The 1900 census confirms a September 1935 birth date, which matches the Find-A-Grave record.

The location isn't definitive, but I think it points to the husband of Sophia being John Brown Evans and not John Bradley Evans.

It appears that Sophia Love's sister (Charlotte Elizabeth Love) married John Brown Evans brother (Conrad Brown Evans). More circumstantial evidence in favor of John Brown being Sophia's husband, since we know that the families were connected, and it wasn't uncommon for brothers to marry sisters.
