Catherine (Evans) Williams was born in 1822 in Llandecwyn, Merionethshire, Wales, United Kingdom, was baptised on 10 March 1822,^[1] daughter of Hugh Evans (1782 - 1846) and Gwen (Thomas) Evans (1785 - 1852).
