Biography

Philip Hathaway Evans was born on 11 Feb 1816 in Tiverton, Newport County, Rhode Island, USA, son of Martha (Hathaway) Evans (1776 - 1851).

Philip married Harriet Newell Bliffens (1829 - 1891) on 30 Mar 1846 in Freetown, Bristol, Massachusetts. Their son was David Bailey Evans (1854 - 1931).

Philip died on 9 Jan 1887 in Freetown aged 70. He is buried in Evans Cemetery, Freetown.
