Research note: The profile that was merged with this one gives Margaret's last name as Bowman b: ABT 1770 in Abbeville District, South Carolina. This is the fourth Margaret that has been associated with Edward. What few sources I have seen give no last name for Margaret. Verifiable documentation is needed to straighten out who Margaret really was and where she came from.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edward by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Edward:

Evans-19003 and Evans-2275 do not represent the same person because: There are several Edward Evans with wives of the first name Margaret. These men have lived in Virginia Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina. They have different children with different birthdates. No primary documentation has been provided to help prove their lineage or place of birth. Same goes for the wives.
