Hi!

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Hi Charlcie, Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community. We have many friendly members, feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Hello all! Blind introductions are awkward, I'm not sure what to say ... Always a history buff, I don't know why I've only been involved in genealogy for a couple of years. I find it frustrating, but also exciting, and addictive. I am volunteering to help nurture this tree. Having found so much faulty data in circulation, I understand the importance of fact-checking and accuracy. I look forward to getting started.

Thank you.

I also see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Hi Charlice, I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'
