Obit in Tuscloosa News Posted May 18, 2002 at 12:01 AM James Cullen Evans, Sr., age 90, of 7250 E. Hargrove Road, died May 16, 2002 at Park Manor Nursing Home. Services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. from Memory Chapel. Rev. Linda Shuttlesworth and Rev. George Fields will officiate. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Memory Chapel Funeral Home is directing. He is preceded in death by wife, Myrtle Evans. Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Burkhalter (Wilford), Northport; Sadie Bush (Gene), Cape Coral, Fla.; son, James C. Evans, Jr. (Betty), Cottondale; sister, Claudeen Evans, Daphne; brother, Covin Evans, Gordo; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are staff of Park Manor Nursing Home Station 2, and members of Cottondale Nazarene Church.
