Biography

Vivia Maude was born in Braxton, MS and is buried in the Braxton Cemetery under the name of Vivie. The 1910 US Census says that she was married to Andrew J.Taylor. She was 17 years old at the time of the Census. The 1930 US Census says they lived in Collins, Covington County, MS. In 1941, she attended her Grandmother Susan Jane Everett's funeral with some of her immediate family members.

A post card written by Vivia was found in Isham Everett's Bible. The post card had no picture on the front side. It was mailed from Collins, MS on January 14, 1938 and only cost one cent in postage. The mailing address was to Miss Fenie Everett, Braxton, Rt. 2, Miss, The whole card is written in pencil and is very faded. The following is written on the back of the card: Friday 1pm.
