As told by Granddaughter Marie Svedahl: Marie’s grandfathers, Charles Ewen, died when she was just 8 months old. Her mother went home (by train from Moreland, Sask to Moose Jaw to Regina, then to Welwyn) for the funeral taking her baby with her. This same trip home to Welwyn, they had the funeral, then baptized Marie, and then Aunt Mary and Uncle Arlie got married - all in May, 1932.
