Biography

Dorothy L. Ewing was born on 9 Feb 1929 in Louisiana. She was the daughter of Extia "Buster" Ewing and Elsie Landry. Dorothy passed away in Arkansas on 17 Jan 2009 and was buried in the Kelly and Ford Cemetry, Stone County, Arkansas.[1][2]

1930 Census: One year old Dorothy L. Eiving is living with her parents Buster (24) and Elsie (21) Eiving in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana.[3]

1940 Census: Dorothy, age 11, continues to live with her parents. Buster and Elsie Ewing, in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana. Also in the home are Dorothy's siblings Demosthan (8) and John (7).[4][5]

27 Jul 1945: Dorothy L. Ewing and Robert L McCorcle are married. The couple would later finalize a divorce on 16 May 1969:[6]

13 Apr 1947: A daughter, Sharren Ann, is born in Bell County, Texas to Dorothy and Robert McCorcle.[7]

28 Nov 1953: A son, Robert Lyle, is born in Bell County, Texas to Dorothy and Robert McCorcle.[8]

18 May 1982: Dorothy's husband, Adler Baxter Elms, passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas.[9]
