Joseph Ewing, Jr., per Maine's Nathan Hale Cemetery Collection, died on October 20, 1846 at the age of 86 years, 4 mos. His wife Sarah (Merryman) is also included in the Collection's document, she having died on July 6, 1849 at the age of 86 years, 8 mos. Her maiden name "Merryman" is included in the document. They are both buried at the Old Harpswell Center Cemetery. Sharing their grave plot is their daughter Peggy, who died at age 11, on October 14, 1804.
