Married Mary "Polly" Ewing 1787 in Abingdon, Washington, Virginia. She was the daughter of George Ewing.
Urben moved to Logan County, Kentucky about 1796 and was a member of the Kentucky Legislature from Logan County in 1803, 1807, 1809, 1811, 1814, and 1816.[1]
He was a soldier (Major) in the War of 1812.
He moved to Cooper County, Missouri in 1818 or 1819 where he lived until his death.[1]
