Lillie was born in 1860 and passed away in 1910. Buried in the Metea Baptist Cemetery in Metea, Cass County, Indiana.
Research Notes
It is known that Lillie died of ptomaine poisoning due to
eating poorly canned salmon. It almost killed the rest of the family
and would have had it not been for the good graces of Dr. `Doc`
Dilliman. He was able to flush the poison from the rest of the family
with purgatives. Lillie had ingested more than the rest and died. As
of this writing there is still little known of Lilly`s father or why
it was that she came to live with her maternal grandparents but I hope
to be able to fill this in more after further research.
