Biography
James Leeper Ewing Jr. was born in January 1830 to James Leeper Ewing Sr. and his second wife Betsy (Ellison) Ewing.
He married Sillestina E. Calder on Mar. 1, 1855.
Together they became the parents of James Alexander Ewing, Mary L. “Mollie” (Ewing) Herbert, R. Wadkins Ewing, and Harvey Leeper Ewing.
He passed away in 1867 and is buried on the Ewing farm in Angelina Co., Texas.
