The 1795 will of her mother, Elizabeth (Tharp) Ewing, states her name as Elizabeth McGinnis. Rev. John McGinnis was "surety" and performed the marriage of Thomas Ewing to Adah (Ediah) Crawford, daughter of John Crawford. according to Frederick Co., Va Marriages. One deed 16 Mar 1802 (DBK 32, p. 459) indicates he is deceased, anotherdeed 23 Jun 1825 (DBK 52:59) indicates she is deceased. No children were ever located nor indicated.
