Astonished at how quickly we managed to get four profiles merged down to two. Thanks!

I was quite happy with that, too. Thanks, nice to work with you. I can't believe they sat there for so long without catching the duplicates.

Have begun cleaning up and reconciling differences with sources for wives/children of two different Richard Howells on this profile Howell-159

No, I was honest, not rude, just -- as I said -- sorely tempted. Ms James does the handling and is using tact to deal with the PM who having difficulties. Ms James does not command the situation, nor I, but the data has been handed over and Ms James has it. The situation is like trekking over the Andes and the mis-placement -- in comparison -- is like one of those rolling ripples that abound in Iowa easily hiked across. I suspect it may be "a few years" before the profile of Hannah (Osborn) Howell Sayre is resolved. I am guessing therefore you did not know the background, whereas I thought you did. The mis-placement is minuscule in this.

I'm strongly tempted to say 'piffle' to a comment that the message about Hannah was mis-placed on Arthur's page. Hannah's biog is a botched up mess in any case so I doubt a straying of a message will disable it even more

Ah, I see I left the message on the wrong page then. Sorry about that, I am still getting a handle on this site's interface (some parts of it are very intuitive and others not as much).

Hi Angela, Am working on some db errors and have aproblem with Amos Deason-130. I had a wrong findagrave link in there (to his wife) and erased it, put it on hers and put his correct on in for him. . . .but the "Error Status" won't accept it, reason or not. Perhaps because you manage Amos? Can you look at this error and see if you can fix it? Thanks, if not, I'll ask someone in G2G

Markham-238 : Deacon Daniel Markham (DDM). A long time ago I took on a study for several problematic persons named Daniel Markham from books and primary record. I am not new to this arena. Each were a 'separate person' in real life. Do not be confused with ANY BOOK or INTERNET value, what I have put out on WT so far, is THE MOST ACCURATE information there is (!!!). This is NOT my point of view, it is FACT. DDM is COMPLETELY UNRELATED to ANY NOBLE MARKHAM ('R') from East or West Markham, Notts. Even if DDM's DNA ('I') was not known, but glad it is, there is currently no SINGLE LINK to ANY MARKHAM outside of Earls Colne, except Matthew bp:Wethersfield. DDM's paternal grandfather is UNKNOWN. Markham book links on Dr. William Markham, D.D., Archbishop of York, on WT (Unrelated to DDM).

Hey There! This is the Amos Deason collateral descendant. I'm not sure how interested you are in Jones County, MS but you sure have a great history on the Anderson-Deason house and thought you'd like to see a map image I put on Sylvanus McManus profile - he's a nephew of Amos - that pertains to the "Free State of Jones" history. You've probably heard the story but I just saw on TV that on June 24 the History Channel is doing a story on "The Free State of Jones." I'm excited to see it. Wanted to let you know if you didn't already. Take care, Barb

Thank you, Angela, for suggesting the merging of Coit-270 and Coit-223. I agree that this looks like the best match.

I also concur that the 1743 birthdate likely belongs to a different Elizabeth Coit. The death date may also be off.

A couple of other trees on ancestry.com which appear to be the best-sourced of the 15 that I examined suggest that the parents of the Elizabeth Coit (1746-14 Oct 1785) (New London and Salisbury, CT) and who married Ezekiel Landon (Landon-374) were William Coit (1720-17680) which matches Coit-109, and Ruth (Unknown) Coit (1720-1790), both of whom were born In Plainfield, CT and died in Sheffield, MA.

How about we 'postpone with an unmerged match' until dates and parentage can be further researched and discussed?

I'm really a newby on WikiTree.
