Sarah Tennery Fairchild was born in 1803 in New Jersey, United States of America.
She married David J. Baker in 1819. After their marriage, they settled in Kaskaskia in Illinois, United States. A flood swept away the old town of Kaskaskia in 1844, and the family moved to Alton in Madison County, Illinois.
Sarah (Fairchild) Baker died in 1859. She is buried in Alton Cemetery.
