Abigail Fales was born May 6, 1762 in Walpole, Massachusetts, the daughter of Benjamin Fales and Rachel (Bassett) Fales. She moved with her parents to Granville Township, Annapolis, Nova Scotia as part of the New England Planter migration.[1] She married Joel Farnsworth in Granville in 1782. Joel was one of the many settlers in Granville who sold his land to Loyalists in the 1780s and relocated to Wilmot Township. [2] Joel's new land was in the Clarence section of the township. Abigail died on July 30, 1826 in Clarence[3] and is buried at Nictaux Cemetery, Nictaux, Annapolis, Nova Scotia.[4]
