Biography

Grete Jacobine Fangel was born at Grindløse parish, Odense in 1808, the daughter of Jeppe Fangel and Kirsten Andersdatter.

Research Notes

Grete Jacobine Fangel Friis was first the "oldfrue" (housekeeper) for Clausholm which is the ancestral home of Linda Ramsey Skov's husband's (Erik Skov)officer school camrade Count Berner Schilden Holstein. Later she was (Oldfrue (Housekeeper) for the much larger Estate Ravnholt on the island of Fyn (Funen), Denmark. Grete was the second wife of Niels Peder Friis whose first wife Joergine Marie died at age 27. Niels Peter Friis was the owner of "Munkebo Kro" (Munkebo Inn) between Odense and Kerteminde on the island of Fyn, Denmark. [1]
