Charles was a co-Executor of the will of his mother Elizabeth Fanshawe, widow of the Right Honorable Thomas Lord Viscount Fanshawe, the will made on 25 Jul 1667 and proved on 14 May 1668.[5]
He was also a co-Executor of the will of his brother Thomas Lord Viscount Fanshawe, the will made on 09 May 1674 and proved on 04 Jun 1674 and 01 Apr 1675.[6]
He was noted in the will of his nephew Evelyn Lord Viscount Fanshawe, he having died in Aleppo, Syria, in 1687.[7]
Charles succeeded his nephew Evelyn, as Viscount Fanshawe.[2]
He refused the oath to William III and was committed to the Tower.[4]
Charles, the 4th Viscount, died without issue in 1710, to be succeeded by his brother Simon.[2][8]
"He died on 28 Mar 1710 at his house in Suffolk Street, and was buried at Ware"[1][2]
