Notes

N785There is a Harry Farmer aged 7 in 1901 census born Wercestershire, living in Newchapel. Inquiry from Gill on Genes Connected Sept 06 Age at death given as 69 on headstone in St Thomas's Inquiry from Allyson on July 17 2008 who wrote: Harry Farmer is a bit of a family mystery, his mother Mary Ann Jefferies is the sister of my Eliza Jefferies, Harry was bought up in the Porter household by Eliza and William Porter, why is a mystery, something no one wants to ask about, Marion is my moms cousin and even my momwont ask her.As far as my moms family are concerned he was just one of the brothers.I think that Mary Anne did not stay with Harrys fatherand came to live with Eliza and William in the Rookery and Eliza tookhim on as her own, but this is only supposition on my behalf, someoneelse said that Mary Anne had money, is this why Harry inherited the house, which is next to the one Marion now lives in, if Eliza had all those children of her own why did one of them not inherit it,we may never know? Its just one of those things you come across that no one wants to go into.Do you have much info about the Jefferies I have a little but I have not really researched them.
