Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Looking for a specific person? Try under “find” and enter the name you are looking for (with dates if you have them). It is very important to you and to others that you include as much bio info about individuals as possible & don’t forget the need for sources. You will come to appreciate the need for this background info and sources as you continue with WikiTree. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. John Beeson WikiTree Mentor

I noticed you uploaded or plan to upload a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's two links :

1) Before Importing a gedcom

2) link to the process. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! TIP: if your ancestor was born over two hundred years ago, there's a very good chance she/he already has a profile on wikitree. Before creating a new profile, use the "search function" up on top to see if your ancestor is already here. Maggie
