Stephen was born about 1765. (please note that the Stephen Farmer of this profile is not the same man as the Stephen Farmer who lived in Charlotte Co. VA, performed military service in the Rev War from Virginia, and died in Smith Co. TN in 1815.)
In 1810 he was living in Knox County, Tennessee.[1]
In 1820 he is living in Harlan, Kentucky. Stephen is in the 'over 45' age category, and his wife the same.[2]
Stephen Farmer's occupation, according to the U.S. Craftsperson files, is chairmaker.[3]
He passed away about 1826. Exact date of death of unknown, and more research will hopefully find his burial information. [4]

I had posted several years ago, but no one responded. I don’t think these are the correct parents to Stephen Farmer. John N.and Hannah never left Massachusetts. If Stephen was indeed born in Virginia, this seems to indicate these aren’t his parents.
Agreed. I've been researching John Farmer of Billerica, Massachusetts and can't find anything to connect him to the Stephen Farmer of Harlan, Kentucky (of this profile).
I do not find a Stephen in the Farmer Family Genealogy records of Early New England. I do believe his father is a John; but I don't feel that John and Hannah are the parents of Stephen. John and Hannah never lived outside if Billerica, Massachusetts. All of their children were born there. In Farmer- written genealogies of Massachusetts and New England, no one lists a son named Stephen. So I feel some investigation needs to be done to find the proper parents.
