Samuel was born on the 2nd Day of the 4th Month, 1683 (Old Style), which is really 2 June 1683, not April. Until 1753 The Calender Year began in March, the first month. The calender change in England and Ireland took place on 2nd of September 1752, with the change to the new calendar the following day, making it the 14th of September (NS) rather than the 2nd (OS). It was only the following year 1st of Jan. 1753 that year began on the 1st of Jan. Scotland made the change in 1600. As for the place of his birth and death, the USA did not exist until 1776.
