Mary Farnsworth was born in September of 1833 at Jonesboro, Washington County, Maine, United States. Mary is the daughter of Cyrus Farnsworth and Mary Thompson Watts.

She marries to William Batchelder on September 30, 1856 in Jonesboro, Maine. William was born on June 7, 1827 at Effingham, Carroll County, New Hampshire, the son of Stephen Batchelder and Betsey Hutchins.

Mary dies on October 15, 1897, William dies on November 14, 1905 both buried at the Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster, Coos County, New Hampshire, United States.
