Thomas Farnsworth, son of Josiah Farnsworth and Mary Pierce, was born on 1 April 1731 in Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

Thomas married Elizabeth Davis on 12 November 1753 in Littleton, Middlesex, Massachusetts. ^[5] (Some records say that Elizabeth Davis was also known as Elizabeth Tuttle). They were the parents of:
