Henry Richard Farrer JP DL, barrister-at-law, of Green Hammerton Hall, co. York (b. 3 Jul 1821; d. 9 Nov 1906), 4th son of James William Farrer JP DL, Master-in-Chancery, of Ingleborough, co. York, by his wife Henrietta Elizabeth Scott, widow of Hon John Scott, 1st son and heir apparent of John [Scott], 1st Earl of Eldon, and only dau. of Sir Matthew White-Ridley, 2nd Bt., of Blagdon, co. Northumberland.
