Cecily Farrar was born before 6 September 1631, presumably at her parents' home at Jordan's Journey, Charles City Incorporation, Virginia.[1] She is the daughter of William Farrar and Cecily (Unknown).
"… on 6 September 1631, William Farrar of London, Gentleman, sold his brother Henry Farrar of Reading, Berkshire, for £200 the properties and annuities so bequeathed, and since John Farrar had reserved these bequests to William's wife and children, the names of 'Cecily his wife and Cecily and William his children' appear in the deed."[1]
First Name
An unsourced alternate spelling of Sisly was previously listed.
Birth
An unsourced alternate birth date of 1625 is listed by Dorman.[2]
An unsourced alternate birth of 11 June 1637 at Farrars Island, Henrico, Colony of Virginia, was previously listed. This date is implausible as she was born before 6 September 1631.[1]
Marriage
Cecily ______ married:
Death
An unsourced death of 1 Feb 1703 in Varina, Henrico County, Colony of Virginia was previously listed. This may be conflation with the death of Cecily (Unknown) Sherman (1637-bef.1707), whose Find a Grave memorial lists her death as Feb 1704 in Varina, Henrico County, Colony of Virginia.[3]
Burial
Deleted from biography January 2024: "She died 1 February 1703 in Varina, Henrico County, Virginia.[citation needed] She is purportedly buried in Henrico Parish Church Cemetery, Henrico County, Virginia." (see comments)
Possibly Isaac Hutchins.[citation needed]
There is a claim that she married Henry Sherman, as Henry had a wife Cecily.[citation needed] Yet Cecily Farrar's brothers died long before Cecily, wife of Henry Sherman, did, and they made no reference to her in their extensive Wills. More specifically, John Farrar mentioned children of his brother William though none that would belong to a sister Cecily.
Purportedly Michael Turpin.[citation needed]

I think that the unsupported statement about her death and burial in the Biography section needs to be deleted or moved to Research Notes:
It appears to be from Find A Grave: Memorial #136207307 & is about a different Cecily: Cecily (Unknown) Sherman (1637-bef.1707). That memorial has a transcription of that Cecily's will, dated 1 February 1703:
WILL OF CISLY SHERMAN Henrico County, Virginia Deeds and Wills 1697–1704 Page 364
1 February 1703[/04]

1. Cecily, wife of Issac Hutchins, or 2. Cecily, daughter of William and Cecily (Unknown) Farrar
if the parents of Isaac Hutchins are incorrect, they can be corrected or detached.
I added the citation for her birth. The source was there just below, but it was not properly cited.
The 1625 date appears in Dorman, but is unsourced. So I added it to the Vital Statistics research note instead. If it is reliably sourced elsewhere, let me know.
As the Biography states, the death date is unsourced. It has been in this profile since the day it was created in 2011, unchallenged and unsupported. Varina was added to the death place in 2017.
