Biography

BIRTH
Joseph Farrar, Jr., was born the10th October 1716, in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, to Joseph Farrar (1692-1733) and his wife Mary. ^[1]

MARRIAGE and CHILDREN
On 7 March 1743, Joseph married Deborah Richardson, daughter of Capt. Zachariah Richardson and Sarah Butterfield, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. ^[2] Sarah was the daughter of Captain Zachariah Richardson (Josiah, Josiah, Ezekiel) and wife Sarah Butterfield^[3] (Benjamin, Nathaniel, Benjamin). She was about sixteen years old at the time of their marriage and together, Joseph and Sarah Farrar had the following known children:

DEATH and BURIAL
Joseph died the 20th April 1797, and is buried in the Forefathers Burial Ground, situated in Chelmsford. ^[4]

A legible gravestone image is available in his Find-A-Grave memorial. It reads ^[4]

"In memory of Mr. Joseph farrer who died April 20, 1797, in the 79 year of his age"
