Sarah (Farrow) Hendrix was born in Ohio.

Sarah Jane Farrow was born on September 21, 1850 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.[1] Sometime after her birth, the family moved to Indiana where she lived in Warren Township, Putnam County near the Putnamville post office.[2]

After the Civil War, Sarah married George Waller Hendrix on January 31, 1866 in Putnam County, Indiana.[3] She continued to live in Warren Township where she kept house.[4]

In 1880, she lived in Cloverdale, Putnam County, Indiana.[5] In 1900, she lived in Liberty, Parke County, Indiana.[6]

In 1920, both her and her husband lived in Indianpolis, Marion County, Indiana.[7] In 1927, after the death of her husband she applied for a widowers pension from the time he was in the war.[8]

She died of hypertension on April 27, 1933 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.[9][1] She was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.[10]
