Biography

John Farrow was born on June 06, 1639 in Hingham, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His parents were John Farrow and Frances UNKNOWN.[1]

He married first Mary Hilliard on August 14, 1664.[1] Together they had 9 children:

  2. John
  3. William
  4. Hannah
  5. Abigail
  6. Mary
  7. Hester
  8. Sarah
  9. Remember

John married second to Frances (unknown) on Nov. 16, 1691 in Hingham.[1]

Constable in 1672.[1]

He lived in Hingham, second precinct, which later was Cohasset.[1]

On 10 February 1707/8, John Farrow, of Hingham, carpenter, made his will in which he named his wife Francis Farrow; son John Farrow; daughters Mary Beverly, Abigail Tower, Easter Beale, Priscilea Farrow, Rembember Terre, Sarah Farrow; granddaughters Mary Josling, Patience Farrow. Son John to be executor. His will was proved on 9 August 1716.[2]

He died on January 27, 1716 in Hingham.[1]

Originally it was part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony (not the Plymouth Colony). From 1643 to 1793, it was in Suffolk County. From 1793 to 1803, it was in Norfolk County. Since 1803 it has been in Plymouth County, Massachusetts
