"BROADHURST - Died near Faubion Chapel, Clay county, Mo., November 2, 1871, Sister Dianah Broadhurst. She was born April 1, 1798 in Cook county, Tenn. In 1815 she was married to Joseph Broadhurst, who preceded her to the spirit land about six months. They moved to Missouri in the Fall of 1829, and settled in Clay county, where they remained until death. She lived more than half her life a professed Christian, but did not join the Church until 1867, under the ministry of Rev. J.Y. Blakey, where she lived a consistent member until she departed to be with Christ. They raised nine children, all of whom are members of the M.E.Church, South, two of whom are ministers of the gospel. ‘Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints'..."
