Biography
My branch of the family who, over the years have spelt the name Fawkener, Falkner and now Faulkner. Have been traced back to a hamlet near Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, England. In the late 17th century, they moved over the hill to Bretby, a small village near Repton in Derbyshire and farmed there until the end of the nineteenth century.
