Willard Francis Faulkner was born September 20, 1869 in Bourbon Township, Marshall, Indiana.

Son of Elijah Joseph Faulkner (1837–1899) and Hester Ann "Hettie" Parker (1840–1881).

1870 United States Census, Penn, Cass, Michigan: Elijah Faulkner was head of household, a railroad laborer, age 34, with wife Esther (sic) Faulkner, age 31, and children Henry J. age 11, (Emma) Elizabeth age 8, Sarah A. age 6, Charles age 4, Cyrus age 2, and Willard age 1.

1880 United States Census, Bourbon, Marshall, Indiana: Elijah Faulkner was head of household, a farmer, age 47, with wife Hester A. Faulkner, age 41, and children Henry J. age 20 and working on a farm, Emma E. age 18, Sarah A. age 16, Charles age 14 and working on a farm, Cyrus age 12 and working on a farm, Willard age 10, Carrie age 6, Clement age 4, Elzie age 2, and Nettie age 1.

Willard died February 14, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana at age 65.^[2]
