Mary "Martha" Faulkner was born circa 1787, the daughter of Thomas Faulker of Yorkshire England[1]
She married Mark Trefry, a twin, the son of Joshua Pitman Trefry and Mary Allen of Chebogue, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. [2]
They were the proprietors of a well-known public house on the Windsor Road. Having no children of their own they adopted Joshua, Zilpha and Jane, three children of Mark's twin brother Thomas[3][4][5]
Mary died March 17, 1851 , and is buried in the Meander Cemetery, Newport Landing, West Hants, Nova Scotia, along with her husband. The inscription on her gravestone reads:
Erected to the memory of Mary wife of Mark Trefry and daughter of the Earle Thomas Faulker Yorksire England de Mar 17 1851 age 64[1]
