Born in Cranston, RI, she had been a resident of Southwick for 12 years prior to moving to CT several years ago. Evelyn is survived by a son, Robert J. Loper and his wife Jeanne of Burlington, CT, a daughter Marilyn E. Townsley of Westfield, MA, five grandchildren, Dean & Michael Townsley, Kristen Briggs, and Sarah & Dennis Loper, and four great-grandchildren, Connor & Jordan Townsley, and Hunter & Hannah Briggs. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Loper in 2004. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Southwick-Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Burial will be in New Cemetery, Southwick in the spring. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Friday, 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
