John was born in 1750. Records of his military service are as follows:

  • Private, Capt. Jeremiah Talbot's Co., Col. William Irvin's Battalion, Mt. Independence, PA, 1 Oct 1776
  • Lieutenant, Ranging Company, Northumberland, VA, 10 Jun 1780

  • FindAGrave lists his birthplace as Surry, North Carolina. Uncertain if he is the John Faulkner listed in the Sussex parish record.

  • Probate record: images 127-137. Will is on images 135-137, leaving entire estate to wife Sarah. Names sons William Faulkner, John Faulkner, and Peter Faulkner executors.
