Maizee Glenuster Feaviour was born on August 1, 1920 in Walsoken, Norfolk. She was the youngest daughter of Alexander Edward Feaviour and Rose Hannah Bunning.[1]
Her father died two weeks before she was born. When she was baptised at All Saints' Church, Walsoken on October 3, 1920[2], her older siblings were baptised at the same time.[3]
Maizee met Bob Rodgers, who was a boarder at her mother's house, having travelled down from County Durham looking for work. They were married on January 7, 1939.[4] Since Bob was a Catholic, Maizee converted from the Church of England to Roman Catholicism in order to be married at the Catholic Church in Wisbech.[3]
The couple had six children; Ann, Robert, Veronica, Rosemary, Patricia and Kevin.[3]
Maizee became an officially registered childminder in 1952 and looked after many of the children in Wisbech, who knew her as "Auntie Maizee".[3]
On May 16, 2003, Maizee died at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in King's Lynn. She was 82 years old.[5] A funeral service was held at the catholic church in Wisbech on 22 May 2003.[3]
