Zachariah Ferdon was born on 30 JUL 1788^{[citation needed]} in Dutchess County, New York, either in New Hackensack or Poughkeepsie Precinct.

In 1850, Zachariah Ferdon, a 66yo farmer b. NY, was living in Callicoon Twp., Sullivan Co., NY. He owned real estate worth $3000. He lived with 4 other Ferdons: Effie, 56yo b.
