Note: Ebed served as a 2LT in A Company, 62nd NC Infantry Regiment, joining in July 1861. He was captured at Cumberland Gap, TN on September 9, 1863 and spent the rest of the war at a POW camp in Johnson'sIsland, OH. He took the oath and was released on June 11, 1865.
