It can be surmised that Gustave and Esther spent the earlier years of their marriage in Caraquet, since all his children were born there (the latest born in December 1886) and baptized at Caraquet's Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens parish. It is not until 1870 that we see their children begin marrying in Massachussetts, and it is likely that Gustave and Esther moved there with his family between 1886 and 1870, possibly for work.
Esther Ferguson passed away in 1924. (Research Note: A source for this information is needed.)
