The marriage ceremony of James Mark and Jane Ferguson was conducted according to the Form and Discipline of the Presbyterian Church by license by Alex Heron. The marriage was witnessed by David Mark and William Ferguson.
Both James and Jane indicated that they were residing in Tieragorey at the time of their marriage. James was of "Full age" and Jane was noted as a "Minor".
Their father's names and occupations were noted as James Mark, a farmer and David Ferguson, also a farmer.
During 1901 Irish Census[1] 70 year old farmer James and his 63 year old wife Jane are living at Lisnisk, Tierkelly, County Down. Also living in the same household is Minnie, their 31 year old daughter. All of the occupants were born in County Down.
James and Jane are also recorded in the 1911 Irish Census[2] with no other family members present. At this time his occupation is listed as a farmer and cattle dealer.
Jane passed away on the 5th April at Lisnisk in County Down. Her death was registered by her son Charles[3].
